Unreleased Preview — Not Yet in Game
Sky Gaolang is listed on the official Gakuran Trello as a work-in-progress fighting style. It is not obtainable yet. Almost no perk data is available yet, and details may change significantly before release. We will update this page once the Trello card is fleshed out and the style launches.
Gakuran Sky Gaolang Style Guide (Preview)
The least-documented unreleased style on the official Trello. Only Guard Pierce II and Resilience I are confirmed so far — but still unreleased.

Quick Answer
Sky Gaolang is an unreleased (WIP) Gakuran fighting style on the official Trello with minimal perk data so far. The only confirmed perks are Guard Pierce II (15% block chip) and Resilience I (15% grapple). It is listed with a Medium best height, but this is highly provisional given how little is known. We project it around B-Tier on community speculation only.
What We Know From the Official Trello
Guard Pierce II
15% block chip damage — the only confirmed offensive perk so far.
Resilience I
15% grapple win chance — very low clash defense based on current data.
Source: Official Gakuran Trello - Combat Styles (Sky Gaolang card, WIP). Stats subject to change — more perks expected.
Last checked 11 September 2026 — still unreleased. The strongest signal here is absence: a video sweep returns nothing at all for this style, which matches a card that carries two perk tiers and no signature mechanic. Nothing in the check suggested it had moved.
Projected Role (Speculative)
- Best Height: Medium (per Trello, provisional).
- Playstyle: Unknown — too little data to characterize.
- Community Projection: Early speculation places it around B-Tier, but this is unconfirmed and may shift as more perks are revealed.
Why This Is the Thinnest Preview on the Site
Most preview pages on this site can at least describe a design intent, because the board says something about how the style is meant to play. Sky Gaolang does not have that yet: the card carries two perk tiers and a provisional height and nothing else. Rather than pad that out into a page that looks authoritative, this page states plainly what is known and what is not.
| Trait | Sky Gaolang (per Trello) | What that means for the style |
|---|---|---|
| Block chip | Guard Pierce II — 15% | Mid-tier on the released scale; Wrestling and Kure sit at the same tier |
| Grapple clash odds | Resilience I — 15% | The lowest tier in use, matching Wingchun — you would lose most equal-tier clashes |
| Signature mechanic | Not documented | Every released style has one. Without it there is no way to say what the style is for |
| Best height | Medium (provisional) | Listed, but on a card this early the field is often a placeholder |
Note how the two known numbers pull in opposite directions. A mid-tier offensive perk paired with the lowest defensive tier describes a style that applies pressure but cannot reliably win a grapple — which is a legitimate archetype, but also exactly the kind of early profile that gets rebuilt before release. We therefore publish no tier placement for Sky Gaolang at all. Any list that assigns one is guessing, and a guess about an unreleased style carries no cost if it is wrong, which is precisely why it should not be trusted.
What to Do Until Sky Gaolang Launches
- Do not plan a build around it. Two perk tiers and a provisional height are not enough to design anything, and the profile may not survive balancing.
- Do not hold rerolls for it. Nothing that cannot be rolled deserves saved spins.
- Treat every "confirmed" leak as unconfirmed. With this little on the card, unofficial details are almost always invented or borrowed from another style. Only the board and the patch notes count.
- Check back rather than rely on this page. When the card gains a signature mechanic this preview will be rewritten with a real description — the verification date at the top tells you how recently it was checked.
- Play a released style meanwhile. The tier list covers everything currently obtainable, with tested perk values.
